Eating at night makes you fat. |
|
MYTH - No matter when you eat them, you gain weight when you eat more calories than you burn off. However, mindless munching in front of the TV at night can push calorie intake over the top. If you’ve eaten a reasonable amount of calories all day and still have some to spend, eating in the evening can be perfectly healthy. When you are asleep, you continue to bur calories at about 90% of the rate when you are awake. Thus, calorie needs at night remain vast and thus having a bedtime snack can be a good choice, especially if you’ve worked out in the evening or ate relatively sparsely throughout the day.
